Sofia Dominguez, Clovis Freire, Elizabeth Gachuiri, Lorena Jaramillo, Amelia Santos, Prachi Sharma, David Vivas, Dong Wu and Kexin Xie of UNCTAD provided valuable inputs, comments and suggestions, as did Karen Suassuna and Lorenzo Formenti (International Trade Centre) and Pierre Horna (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific). A “zero draft” of the guide was introduced for consultation with stakeholders in November 2024 at the twenty-ninth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The guide also benefited from valuable comments and feedback received as part of pilot projects conducted in partnership with the Ministries of Trade and Environment of the Gambia and Madagascar in November and December 2024. UNCTAD gratefully acknowledges the further valuable comments received from representatives of member States and experts in the context of consultations on the guide, including at an ad hoc expert meeting on trade, investment, climate change, and sustainable development on 31 January 2025 in Geneva.
