Optimism runs high — 84% say they’re eager to embrace agentic AI in their role and about as many expect it to have a positive impact on productivity, efficiency and their work experience. Yet fear grows alongside it — many employees have more questions than answers.Two-thirds (65%) of non-people managers worry about their own job security working alongside AI agents, and too often their curiosity is met with silence: little training, limited communication and no clear roadmap. This is where enthusiasm risks curdling into resistance. But the survey also shows the way forward. Organizations that invest in communication, training and support — those that address the human side of transformation — are already seeing stronger adoption and better results.Organizations that thrive will be those that use AI not to replace, but to reinvent — anchoring people at the center of the journey into the agentic era.In a flashing red alert across offices nationwide, our survey shows that many managers aren’t sure how to integrate and manage a hybrid human and agentic AI workforce. About half (53%) are concerned that they may not be good at doing so, and even among non-people managers, about two-thirds (63%) admit that they feel dissuaded from pursuing people management roles due to concerns about managing AI-augmented teams.These data points reflect how this technological revolution must center on people — how we understand our roles, our places in society, and how we deliver value and find fulfillment.
