Freight transport, including supporting facilities such as warehouses and ports, accounts for 11% of global greenhouse gas emissions and is also one of the hardest-to-abate sectors globally. Digitalization and technological advancements, together with evolving and shifting trade flows, provide an opportunity to enhance operational efficiencies, cut emissions and drive industry growth and competitiveness.
