Kring is the Executive Director of the Boston University Global Development Policy Center. His research and teaching interests focus on international political economy, global economic governance, international financial institutions and Southern-led financial institutions. He actively conducts policy-oriented research on global economic governance and works regularly with government officials and staff officials of various international financial institutions, particularly regional financial arrangements. He has served as a consultant for the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and has been awarded grants by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership, the Academy of Korean Studies and UNCTAD. His work has appeared in World Development, Development and Change, Global Policy, Global Governance and International Relations of the Asia-Pacific.Rishikesh Ram Bhandary is the Assistant Director of the Global Economic Governance Initiative at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center. He previously worked as a post-doctoral scholar at the Climate Policy Lab in the Fletcher School at Tufts University. He is also a member of the Task Force on Climate, Development and the International Monetary Fund.Rachel Thrasher is a Researcher with the Global Economic Governance Initiative and serves as Team Lead for the Trade and Investment Rules workstream. She holds a JD and a Master’s degree in International Relations, both from Boston University. She works on policy issues related to trade and investment agreements, policy space for development, intellectual property and access to medicines and the climate impacts of trade and investment treaties. She is the author of the book, Constraining Development: The Shrinking of Policy Space in the International Trade Regime, published by Anthem Press in 2021. She currently teaches International Economic Law and Climate Change at the Boston University School of Law.Marina Zucker-Marques is a Senior Academic Researcher for the Global Economic Governance Initiative and serves as Team Lead for the Financial Stability workstream.
