This past year has been both a challenge and an opportunity to demonstrate how collaboration, innovation, and determination can turn environmental crises into transformative solutions.A key milestone of the year was the successful convening of the 2024 Regional Conservation Forum (RCF), which brought together governments, NGOs, experts, and community leaders from across the region. As a platform for dialogue and collective action, the forum underscored IUCN’s commitment to fostering regional cooperation. Through knowledge exchange, policy discussions, and the promotion of Nature-based Solutions, the RCF advanced shared goals in conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable development, further strengthening partnerships and inspiring future initiatives.West Asia, with its unparalleled ecological diversity and rich cultural heritage, stands at the forefront of global conservation efforts. However, our region also faces pressing challenges: climate change, biodiversity loss, water scarcity, land degradation, and political instability. These issues require interlinked strategies and unified action. Through the collective strength of our partners, Commission Members, Members, and staff, ROWA has led initiatives to restore ecosystems, empower communities, and foster resilience in the face of these challenges.The achievements highlighted in this report are a testament to our region’s potential for s
