For some it’s a time to begin to slow down, and steady themselves for a few weeks of family reunions, endless mince pies and bottomless glasses of wine. But for others, it’s a time to get organized and ready for a hectic end of the year push to complete deals in time for a fresh new year. Most of us though will take some time over the coming few weeks to reflect on 2025, take stock of everything we learnt, and start planning for the new year. Here at ASG we had a pretty good year by anybody’s standards, with the standout events of the year being our ultra successful Bangkok Forum in the middle of the year and then making history by becoming the first company ever to take home three awards in the same year at the Asian Business Aviation Association's Icons of Aviation Awards. But those are just the headline events. Our transaction, charter and consultancy teams also had blockbuster years, with each of the different departments seeing record levels of activity. Our Bangkok Forum was the best one that we have done so far. Attended by more than 300 business aviation professionals, and with a 96% approval rating (from the survey we handed out during the event) the Bangkok Forum set the benchmark for our forums in the future. That’s a good thing, hearing all of the positive feedback, and valuable suggestions, shows us that we are well and truly on the right track with delivering a world-class forum, and helps us plan accordingly for the next few years. Speaking of which, you probably already know where our next Forum will be held. If not, then I can tell you now that it will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, at the end of June 2026. Vietnam was an obvious next choice for us, not only is it home to a rapidly growing business aviation market, but it was also the top choice for our Bangkok attendees when we asked them where we should hold the next Forum. If you haven’t visited Vietnam before, then our Forum will be a great chance to visit the amazing country. Vietnam is a beautiful country, with amazingly friendly people and some of the freshest, tastiest food in the world. As the late great Anthony Bourdain said in an intro to one of his Parts Unknown TV shows "Vietnam. It grabs you and doesn't let you go. Once you love it, you love it forever."
