Wietelman is a PhD candidate in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park. He is an applied microeconomist specializing in environmental and resource economics. His current research uses applied econometric methods to understand how household demand for essential resources like energy and water are shaped by price and nonprice policy interventions. He also works on topics related to the economics of water quality.Casey J. Wichman is an associate professor in the School of Economics at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a university fellow at Resources for the Future. He is an applied microeconomist working on issues at the intersection of environmental and public economics. His research focuses on how people interact with the natural and built environment, and what that behavior reveals about the value of environmental amenities. Wichman’s research spans water and energy demand management, climate change impacts and policy, urban transportation, public goods provision, and outdoor recreation.Daniel A. Brent is an associate professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education at Pennsylvania State University.
