This period has been particularly significant as we welcomed a new Director General, Laurence Rycken, to lead us into the future. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Laurence for stepping into this role with such passion and vision. I am confident that under her guidance, IDF will continue to strengthen its position as a leader in the global dairy arena. At the same time, I would like to thank Caroline Emond, our former Director General, for her outstanding service and dedication. Caroline’s leadership was instrumental in navigating IDF through critical years, and she leaves behind a robust foundation for Laurence to build upon.Throughout my tenure, I have had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional team. To my fellow Board members, thank you for your unwavering commitment and collaboration. To the National Committees, your engagement and expertise have been the backbone of IDF’s success. And to the staff at the IDF Head Office, your tireless efforts continue to propel IDF forward, and for that, I am deeply grateful.As we celebrate 120 years of IDF, I cannot help but feel immense pride in what we have achieved together. The dairy sector today faces both challenges and opportunities, and I have full confidence that IDF, with its strong institutional framework, is prepared to meet them. We have advanced our work in areas that are critical to the future of dairy—sustainability, nutrition, food safety, and innovation—ensuring that we remain at the forefront of dairy science and policy.This final period as President has been both rewarding and humbling. I am proud to have been a part of this remarkable institution and to have contributed to its enduring mission. I leave with great optimism for the future of IDF and the global dairy sector. Together, we have built something strong, and I know that with Laurence at the helm, supported by all of you, IDF’s next chapter will be even more inspiring.
