In addition to its ability to produce highly recognizable consumer products at scale, the industry is characterized by constant innovation to meet changing consumer preferences and trends.The food & beverage CPG sector has demonstrated remarkable resilience in private equity activity, with Q3 2024 setting a new quarterly record of an estimated 149 deals. This surge follows a strong Q2 2024, which saw approximately 138 deals, underscoring an acceleration in market dynamics. Despite economic headwinds, the sector is on track for an exceptional year, with an estimated 385 deals occurring in the first three quarters of 2024. Deal activity has been particularly robust in alcohol, baked goods, and celebrity brands. However, the market has shifted toward smaller deals and growth rounds rather than large acquisitions.
