This report shares this and other unique insights about how organizations around the world in every industry are responding to AI’s transformative potential.This study contains perspecƟves from nearly 1300 senior leaders from 24 countries, making it one of the largest surveys of its kind, and conƟnuing TCS’ commitment to use our posiƟon of privilege of working with the world’s leading corporaƟons to unlock the collecƟve knowledge we all have, and create an ecosystem of insights and learning. The latest evoluƟon of arƟficial intelligence—with its generaƟve AI capabiliƟes—has the potenƟal to help companies reimagine enƟre value chains, experience pervasive performance improvements, and create new ways of working. At the same Ɵme, the findings from our AI study, as well as our own experience working with large organizaƟons, show that most companies are also thinking of how to balance risk with opportunity as they move forward with their AI strategy. InteresƟngly an overwhelming 81% of the leaders polled have asked for a more ‘global’ set of regulaƟons and standards on AI. Right now, most organizaƟons use AI to assist humans. As it matures, we will increasingly see AI used to augment human acƟviƟes and ulƟmately, transform businesses by elevaƟng human thinking with the ability to ideate based on machine output. According to the study, most execuƟves think human creaƟvity or their strategic thinking will be an essenƟal compeƟƟve differenƟator in the next three to five years. AI can help scale this creaƟvity to new, unprecedented levels. The study also shows that to fully leverage the latest wave of AI and miƟgate its risk, nearly three-quarters of companies are already revamping their strategy or operaƟng model. It’s not surprising that many organizaƟons are yet to create an effecƟve long-term AI strategy and KPIs, given the conƟnual and rapid pace of change in its evoluƟon.AI is creaƟng an unprecedented opportunity for organizaƟons around the world to capitalize on their unique contextual knowledge to elevate and maintain elite performance.
